YouTube and The White House: Does it Mix?

YouTube, a popular video sharing friendly website, has gained enormous popularity within the past year. From its beginning as an outlet for amateur "video producers" to hosting live stream television shows, which is now illegal, Youtube has rapidly changed the pace of social media. As the race for the White House begins to heat up presidential candidates are enacting clever public relations tactics to reach the younger and "techno-savy" generation. Recently, presidential candidates such as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama broadcasted their intentions to run through their own online videos. Although I am not a political enthusiast, I do have my own opinions. I think that presidential candidates should use caution as they embark on embracing the world of Youtube. After all, it will only take about five minutes for an amateur video producer to mock the campaign advertisement and blast it all over YouTube. So, the presidential candidates might face even more opposition than they bargained for.
